Why Peacocks?

First of all, since peacocks only open their tails in the name of love or self-defense, they remind me that true beauty should shine when it is most important.
Secondly, it is said (by whom I'm not sure) that peacock feet are hideous. So hideous in fact that if a peacock were to ever look down, it would be so ashamed that it would crawl away and die. Now I don't know if it's true or not, but it does remind me that one should always be modest because no one is perfect and we all have a weakness.

So what was my purpose with naming my blog The Peacock Chronicles? Well, I am convinced that blogging is a great outlet and a good way to stay connected with those that are far away.
Also, I am on a mission. My mission is to find hidden beauty in my everyday life. If I can find one thing that I may have taken for granted if I wasn't writing this blog, then I have achieved a better life. If there's anything life has taught me lately, it's not to take the little things for granted because you never know when you'll get thrown a curveball or two (or three or four). So if there's anyone out there reading, I hope you enjoy my blog and try to find a little hidden beauty in your life too!
